Sudoku Quilt

This quilt was made for my daughter Kate. The Sudoku puzzle is constructed entirely from batiks out of my hoard  stash, using instructions out of the book Sudoku Quilts, by Cyndi Hershey. The lattice is Kona cotton. The quilt is backed and bound with a surprisingly soft, subtle grey plaid cotton from the Asian fabrics section at New Pieces. Like Rudolph’s nose, you could almost say it glows.Image

The quilting was beautifully done by Sharona Fischrup, at New Pieces, in Berkeley.

Sometimes it all just works out!
